Press review on the war in Ukraine
In view of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, the expertise of scholars who deal with Eastern Europe is particularly in demand. The Department of History of Eastern and South Eastern Europe offers this expertise and endeavours to disseminate this knowledge to the public. Colloquia of the Department of East and Southeast European History
The colloquia, which are led by the professors of the department, offer exciting insights into current research projects. Students are also explicitly invited to attend the events. Here you will find the current semester programmes and a review of previous years.
Elite Program in Eastern European Studies
The interdisciplinary Master of Eastern European Studies is a joint project of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich and the University of Regensburg. It is supported by Elitenetzwerk Bayern, a science funding initiative of the State Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs, Science and the Arts (StMBK). Numerous institutions of Bavarian Eastern European studies are involved in the program as partner institutions.
